Hotspot

I know this phone doesn't have Hotspot in the system setting menu. But I have seen it in the system apps.

also have tried many different apps and hotspot will turn on and connect but getting data or anything to work so far has been a fail.

does anyone know of any way to get this phone to use hotspot, especially to use this 4g lte for some good

It depends on 3 things:

1) Can the phone do it? Almost all fairly recent phones can.

2) Can the app you're using do it? Most of them can to one extent or another. (Some apps are just better than other apps.)

3) Does your carrier allow it? If the carrier doesn't allow hotspots unless you pay for a tethering plan, no matter what you do the tethered device isn't going to see the internet, because the carrier won't connect it to the internet. (They can tell whether a packet of data is coming from the phone or from a device tethered to it.) Verizon is one such. If they're your carrier, and you're not paying for a tethering plan, stop wasting your time and effort.

It will tell you how to enable the built in hotspot which works for computers, but for some reason Android devices are able to connect, but can't send/receive data.

To be able to tether another Android device you will need root.

With root you can use the app from this post:
