Help How 2 stop song from library played when Email Received!

This is driving me nuts.

Every time I get an email on my Driod Razr a song from my music library plays. This is driving me nuts. I cannot find any settings, not in gmail or on the phone that is making this song play. To add to the annoyance I don't even know the song otherwise I could find that and simply check settings there.

I use winamp for music and had a look in there - and still cannot find settings.

Any ideas? Thanks

I was having the same problem with my GMail. Here's what fixed it.

Go to APPS (will only work if you access GMail from the apps, NOT the email icon on the home screen)


Go into Gmail and click on Menu > More > Settings.


From there, click on your Account Settings for your desired e-mail address and scroll to the bottom of the menu where it says "Labels to notify".

Click on "Inbox". You should see a pop-up window with specific instructions for e-mail notifications.

Click on the "Ringtone" and change it to silent.
