How Android can change Lives?

Hi All,

There is now much talk about Android, a well known, widely used OS. Let's talk about how we can benefit from having Android against not having(and having only essential phone)?

What are the benefits of Android which can really change our lives?

Regards.

It's a broad reaching philosophical question. It's difficult to answer without a great deal of thought. Off the top of my head, I don't know that my life has changed that much by virtue of Android. Some aspects are more convenient, but I can't credit Android with any major influence over my life.

With a 4.3" screen and an otterbox commuter case like mine that gives that screen a little lip, it's great for breaking up herbs on.

Change your life real good there for a few hours.

I mean, if whatever fancy dish you cooked up with the herbs turned out good.

and after that, it has adobe flash so that means all the tube sites are available. (watch cooking videos get ideas for tomorrow's dinner)

Was a BB user. How has android changed my life? Dont have to invest anymore on the BIS... a normal, GPRS/EDGE would do! :)

Dude Just Frame the details a little more specifically :D .

What you actually want to know is Symbian or Android ?
Personal Choice in my opinion . If you are fine with Symbian then go for it .

Well going to the toilet is certainly more fun with all the great games on my phone. Does that count?!

The Androudbusiness applications have a fundamental impact on my business activities. The ability to communicate on such a wide variety ways and the transaction capabilities have been awesome. The search capabilities, directions finding and weather forecasts are among several small things that add up to major increases in productivity.

Donno if this counts, but ever since I got an Android phone... my wife doesnt bug me as much...

I find the opposite. Especially annoying when she starts bugging me when I'm close to beating my top score on Fruit Ninja.

;)
I usually tell her I'm sending off some emails for work... she's like "oh ok, lemme know when you're done. There some stuff i need moved in the shop..." or...etc... and I'm like... "It might be a while..." ::as I plant more sunflowers in Plants vs Zombies:: :D

Someday she'll catch on.. paybacks gonna be a... ah well yall know...

Good...Thanks...This is what I am expecting.

It's changed my life because with my old iPhone I had a bunch of business apps that I don't have with an Android phone. So now I have to do more from my laptop and less from my phone. Very inconvienent.

It's an extremely vague topic. Answers would probably come more readily to me if my Droid was my first smartphone and I had just recently experienced changes from using my first smartphone. However, it is probably about my 8th smartphone and while Android has introduced some changes in my life they're not as drastic as going from no smartphone to Android.

See what happened when we shifted from landline phone to wireless, mobile phone. And now from basic mobile phone to OS based phone. Let me rephrase my question in following contexts:

1. Change for a user who shifted to Android from a basic phone.
2. Change for a user for his workplace/business productivity.
3. Change for a user in his personal life.
4. Change for a user in his social life.
5. Change for a user in terms of enhanced communication mediums.
6. Any other context in which you experience a real, drastic change.

For someone who came late to the party, perhaps these changes were dramatic and represented a real lifestyle adjustment, but the paradigm shift was gradual for me over the last 15 years. It seems more evolutionary than revolutionary.
