How are you doing music?

How are you doing music on your Android device? I used to dump music on the phone from my computer, but got tired of updating it whenever I added a new song. I gave Google Play Music a try, but the Chrome extension never worked right for me. It would always stall and require a restart/reinstall. The desktop application worked better, but never seemed to update my "incorrect match" songs. If Play Music would allow you to drag and drop songs, or even have an uploader build in without needing extra software, it would be great. So I guess I'm back to square one.

As much as I dislike iPhones, my wife is lucky that she can just sync her music with her phone from iTunes. :-(

You can do that with Android using various methods. Windows Media Player, for example, will sync music to any device identifying itself as an MTP-capable device. Many manufacturers' desktop software allows the same; I use Sony's PC Companion to sync my own music (stored on networked drives) with my Xperia handsets.

Incidentally, if switched to "Downloaded only" mode, Play Music sees all tracks synced by other apps.

Google play music all the way... I've synced my music up to the cloud.. and just play it on any device that I pick up..
