Why not try to sell the flat screen TV. I pawned off all I have to pay my bills.

people go into debt. the Fed doesn't make anyone do shibby.
Then why is out national deficit $13 trillion?
Its safe to say if she spent money on that tv. Then the chance of her splurging on other luxuries is very great. I have seen it many times. People living in the conditions she is having items they shouldnt buy. Like flat screens, laptops, leather furniture, nice clothes, rims on their cars or even an expensive car.To be honest, that TV can probably be had today for $600, or much less if it were used. She could pawn the thing for $200 on a good day. Around here it costs $100 a month give or take to heat a home, and energy is pretty cheap. So she could pawn her TV and have JUST heat for two months? I mean I guess we can make the argument all around the board. Does she have a computer? She probably spent too much for that according to some. Her clothes (not necessarily what she is wearing) could be too nice for her to afford acording to some. What does she eat? What else is she spending her money on? My point is that it can be hard to judge this sort of thing. Just because someone has a 47" TV in their living room doesn't mean they are spending beyond their means IMO. Maybe 5 years ago when such TVs were $3 grand+...

So yeah I bet she dont manage her money as she is getting a check from the state. Like I heard one guy say on a florida radio . Eating steak on the state.
plus if she cant pay her heating bill and has a 47in tv. then yes she is living beyond her means.
