Help how can i copy file in order to MTP (Android phone)?

mooooon

Newbie
i am trying to copy .mp3 files in order

to my phone but it windows copies them from the first one (the one on the top of the list ) to the last one

so in searching for a solution i found this program CopyInOrder

after i choose the files i press on create .bat file in the program i reverse the lines order in bat file using sort text lines site

so i can copy from the oldest to the newest but the only one problem is that i can't choose the sd card from my MTP .. even i can't access it using CMD ...
and i have tried to insert my phone as sd card only but when i unplugs the phone the order of the new files gets messed up again

welcome to AF!!!!!!!!!

have you tried to reformat the card? it might be a bad card.

like was asked in the "other" forum not i'm still not exactly sure why you want to do this

I remember that i have formated it many times a long time ago . . But no it's not a bad card .. what would make it bad ?
I can access it normally but the problem is that the program can't choose the sd card or even view the mtp device .... even the cmd can't ... there is no option to "cd" an mtp device

Maybe this "copy in order" program is the culprit?

Thing is why do you need to copy MP3s in alphabetical order to an Android device? Just about all Android music players play music files in the order it was intended, like with ID3 tags or with the actual file names, and not by file date stamps.

But, on a flash-based MP3 player, the device may very well play the songs in the order they were copied, instead of alphabetically

No Android music players behave like that, well none that I've ever seen. And that's probably for some ancient cheapo flash players with crappy firmware.

Sort songs "by name" and "by time modified" only!? ...seriously WTF!!!

What exact music player is that? Because I usually expect to see things like sort "by artist", "by song", "by album", "by year", "by genre", etc. And I never ever seen "by time modified" in any music player I've used.

Yes It likely is. Because that software is expecting drives to have drive letters, e.g. C:/ D:/ Which MTP does NOT provide. Is it very legacy or something?

I don't use MTP myself, and usually transfer MP3s either wirelessly or just put the SD in a reader on the computer.

yup it's huawei media player . and i don't care about any of these "sort "by artist name", "by song", "by album", "by year", "by genre", "

cause i just want to play the songs at the date when i got them and nothing else .

I have a Huawei phone myself, and I know the stock Huawei EMUI music player sucks, but I didn't realise it was that limited/crippled. Normally I use other music player apps, like BlackPlayer EX or Odyssey.

If you're using a micro-SD for your music in the phone, try it with a card reader on your computer. So it's directly mounted, and has a drive letter. NOT MTP. Then that "copy in order" program might do what its supposed to do.

"and i have tried to insert my phone as sd card only but when i unplugs the phone the order of the new files gets messed up again"

Well it sounds like this problem and your requirements are quite unique. Can't help you anymore then.
