I have a new htc Wildfire S and still getting to know it. Can anyone advise me how I can locate the number of phone contacts that I have in my phone and the maximum that can be stored ??...I really don't wish to go through and count them all......thanks for you help in advance.

If you open the people app, hit menu, then view, it will list the number of contacts you have on your phone and what they are stored on (Phone/SIM/Google etc).

You shouldn't have to worry about limitations, you'd need quite a lot of them before you'd run out of space. You can also sync your contacts to your google account so you don't need to worry about them if you need to reset your handset. Is that an option?

Could you lt me know how I can leave "Thanks" for the fantastic help....just joined today from Adelaide, Australia. The heat here is obviously affecting me.....nearly 40C..Phew..!!

I have a new Wildfire S and I have 92 Contacts on the Sim card and one saved in phone memory. When I tried to put in another contact it said Sim card full. I have checked Contact memory and it shows 1.55Mb used.
As I not connected to Google or the Internet do I just save new contacts in the phone memory...?
Thanks for any advice....Still learning with the Android..!!

Hi, El Presidente. I don't have my boss's Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Android 4.0, in front of me but does this give you a number or just a list of the contacts? Trying to troubleshoot the sync process with CompanionLink/DejaOffice and it would be helpful to know how many contacts have gotten synced to Android contacts in the process. Thanks!

Hey ntoren, it lists the contacts, but using the above process, you should be able to export the contacts on the phone to an excel csv file where you can count the number transfered and actually see what's in there. Would that help?
