How can I get games for Android?

I live in a country that has absurd internet laws which prevents games from being on the android market without a content rating. Of course Android market doesn't work. Appbrain doesn't work either.

It seems that my only option for getting games is piracy (something I don't want to do) because I the only apps i can find to download in .apk format are pirated paid apps.

If anyone knows any way to get games that are normally free on the android market, that would be great. I don't want to pirate, I just want to get games that are already free to begin with.

Do these sites work at all? They're alternative appstores for Android applications and games.

I'd be cautious of I was doing that in a country that makes it illegal to have games on the AM without a rating. That's circumventing a law.

what about the amazon app market? just a thought but I am guessing its the same as the regular market for you.

He didn't ask for legal advice, he asked how to get the games on his phone and I provided him with the info. That's not our concern or place to lecture.
