Help How can I scroll through pics on sd card

gmerlin

Lurker
I'm learning (slowly)Android and my Galaxy Note 10.1( and using a forum). I can find the pics from my sd card attached to the Samsung card reader attached to the Note. They show up in the USBDrive A folder. I can tap a pic and view it full size nicely. But if I try to swipe to next pic, nothing happens. I have to hit the back arrow and open up the next pic in full view, close it and open the next and so on. Is there a way to just swipe through the pics on my card like I can when viewing pics in the gallery. I tried copying the pics to the clipboard, but then couldn't find anywhere to paste them to to see if they would be swipe-able.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.

This bugged me, too. I ended up downloading ES File Explorer and found that it has a built-in image viewer. Opening a single image within the ES Image Browser allows me to then scroll through all images in the same folder by swiping. ES File Explorer is free in the Play store and is linked above.

How I used it:

Connect my USB card reader
Pop in the card
Browse to location of my images
Tap first image
Choose ES Image Viewer from the list of available options
Swipe away!

Hope this helps!

Just downloaded ES File Explorer and installed it. It works beautifully. Pics load and swipe just like in Gallery. Makes the card reader so much more functional.
Thanks again for the lead .

Glad it helped. In general, I prefer this file manager to the native My Files. Can't take credit, though. Learned about it on this forum! :)

Will this work with a Samsung S5? This is driving me nuts that I can't scroll through my pics on a computer via the usb!
