I have a Huawei Ascend Y and its using data like crazy. I installed the My Data Manager n it shows the browser is using 110 MB I think it said like 53%. Can I stop the browser from using so much?

Think we need to look at context. Over what sort of time period did the browser use 110MB, a day, a week, a month? And what kind of web-sites are you looking at, simple ones or complex large ones? Are you streaming video or audio in the browser?
There are a couple of alternative browsers that use less data, because they compress and optimise pages for mobile devices before sending them to the phone, e.g. Opera Mini. Download Opera browser for mobile devices - Opera Software

Also it would depend on what you browse on the internet. The more you use the browser, especially for heavy pages, the more it will use.
