How can I tell this is a New Phone?

I bought it from flea bay as "new" and it looks like it is but is there a certain way to find out in the settings?

Also it seems to run slow compared to an old Htc Indredible. Oh yeah- it's also a battery hog , even more than my Dinc!

There's no "total runtime" clock on the Droid X so there's no way to see if it's been used before. I kept a generic gel cover on mine for nearly 3 years and it still looks new.

Both the DInc and DX were released early 2010 and have similar CPU & GPU (see comparison chart). The DX GPU is the PowerVR SGX530 (not listed on PhoneArena). It may be those slight differences that make it seem slower.

Battery life may be due to an old battery. After two years my original DX battery started to swell and battery life dropped off drastically. Remove and inspect the battery. You will notice the swelling by looking on edge or placing it face down on a flat surface and seeing if it will wobble like mine does. New BH5X batteries can be found for $5 to $10 online.

Thanks for the info! The battery looks fine and not swollen. There is a plastic film on the front with a removal tab and it looks like its new. What is making suspicious in the slowness and it was shipped in a non factory box and no OEN charger or manual. I guess you never know with ebay. I also thought the memory was 8GB like the HTC but thanks to your link it is less which led me to believe some memory was used. In conclusion I guess it's a new phone but slow. I'm trying to find a way to clear the cache but can't seem to find it yet. Again, thanks.

I have the chargers from the X and the Bionic. They are identical.

Yes the charger I got with it is generic where my Bionic charger is OEM Motorola.. I assume using the Bionic charger won't hurt the X.
