How can I stop my new shiny S3 notifying me of new e-mails. I dont mind it in the notification bar I just dont want the flashing blue light and the sound. Can I stop that but continue with SMS messeges?

Got it yesterday so still having a play but it woke me about 3 times last nite as its kept by the side of the bed at nite.

On another thread headed the 'notification light' another user mentions an app called light flow on which you can control the lights and sounds for incoming messeges. At least thats what i took from the post that i read, gonna download said app now and will update later...

According to this http://androidforums.com/showthread.php?p=4514150 thread light flow will cause trouble with TTS, resulting in Talk back notifications of random stuff. That's the phone loudly announcing that you just opened a folder, or changed home screen.

Haven't experienced it myself, but it sounds very annoying!

Thats the thing mate, I cant find the settings for sound and vibration specific to e-mail only. Helping hand anyone?

I have since downloaded LIGHT FLOW app, I think its working but the list of settings is mental, I have to tweek them a bit more. Thats what I want but I'm very minimalist and for me less is more and will happily uninstall the app if I can do what I want without the app.
