Help How come SD card only shows the space I have on my phone?

I have 860 MB left on my phone so I put a 32 GB card into it, but the SD only shows 860 MB on my computer. In the storage setting it says I have all 32 GB, so what's happening? Is it becuase I'm using ubuntu as my opertating system?

You are looking at internal SD on the computer. There should also be something like extsd.

Ok I tried it on windows 7 and it works, but it doesn't in ubuntu. Does anyone know how to get ubuntu to recognize the SD card?
