How Come?

I can try to take the back off of my phone, and it nearly impossible.

but just drop it on the floor one time, and it flies apart all over the place?

I just dropped it again, for the 3 time in a month, hard wood floor, just slipped out of my hands, about 24 inches maybe..... and the back just flew off and the battery went skittering across the floor...........

It would help if the protective covers I have would fit, but alas, they won't... it seems that two years have shrunk them both.... they won't fit anymore...

ordered up a new one from a different company, but FedEx Smart Post seems to think it belongs in china, not here in my home.... ??

Sound like my landline wireless phones. Drop and zing! - but having the battery attached by wires helps even if the back cover has been known to reach absurd distances and hiding places.

Did that with a Pocket PC. It still kept telling me my battery door was open.

Not for me... I never get lucky enough for the tools to hit the floor! They always land on top of the frame, down around the engine mounts, where no one on earth could possibly reach them
