Help How do call re-directs work..?

If I want to re-direct calls from one phone to the other, how does it work...?

Is this implemented by Android itself..? And therefore, I need the phone to be switched ON in order to do the re-direct..?

Or.. is this implemented by the phone network..? In which case, it doesn't matter whether the phone is ON or OFF.

I am in the UK.

Call forwarding is done by the network whether it be to your voicemail or another number, so your phone can be switched off.

Pay-as-you-go service usually only allows forwarding to a voicemail number.

redirect call work on your sim card .
when you foreword call to other number sim card in setting.
if your 1st sim is not reachable or your phone is switch off in this case call is for worded to other sim card number you provided.
this call foreword service is totally depend on sim service provider.
some of android phone has this kind of setting .but it just activate the sim service from your phone.
