You should be able to just go to the email app (not the gmail app) in your applications and add it that way. I don't have AOL mail but thats how I add all none gmail mail clients.

what's "AOL" ? Just kidding Try the following - I found it on Moto's DROID site but I'm sure the settings are similar for email manual setup:
