Help How do I answer calls?

bsprowl

Lurker
THis may seen stupid but I can't answer calls or frankly do much else.

I even bought a book and two weeks after I got my Droid 2 I still can't answer calls.

When the phone rings I get screen with a lock on it that looks like its not locked. Touching the lock does nothing, tapping the lock does nothing, beating on the lock does nothing (excdpt make my knuck bleed), sliding the lock up or down and left or right does nothing.

Once in a while I do get past that lock but the next screen is no better. I've touched and tapped on the answer button many times and nothing happends. I answered one call out of dozens and my wife is having no more success with her new Droid than I'm having with mine.

Sure glad we've still got a wired phone.

Do you have screen protectors? Do you have other issues with the touch screen? Also, i feel I should point out that the answer slider is different from the unlock slider in that it doesn't jump to the unlock point when you get near it. If you don't slide it completely to the right of the screen, you don't answer the call.

When your phone rings two items will appear on your screen. The left one is green and the right one is red. What you need to do to answer is touch the green one and swipe your finger to the right (middle) of the screen. If you touch the other one and swipe your finger to the left (middle) it will send the call to voice mail (or at least stop ringing if you don't have VM). BTW, the motion is designed to be something that is unlikely to occur accidentally, so that you don't pick up a phone call and not know that you did, and then continue whatever conversation you had going on.
