Root How do I change/remove carrier splash screen?

Hi, I'm new to android and I just have this problem I want to resolve.

As the title says, I want to change or remove (whichever is easier) the carrier splash screen on startup as I am not with that specific carrier (Telus). It's the white screen right after the first splash showing Galaxy S2 logo and just before the boot animation. I've searched hours online for a solution and saw many dedicated to changing the boot animation, but I haven't come across a concrete solution for the carrier logo.

I rooted my phone (Galaxy S2 X) already for this specific reason.

This is the closest thing to a solution I've found, but I don't understand what the guy is talking about and I'm not sure if this will work on T989 version. Also, this seems to change only the Galaxy S2 splash screen, it mentions nothing about the carrier logo.

Any ideas?
