Root how do i change the 4g symbol?

I wanna change the 4g symbol at the top and make it say lte not sure how though

I never tried it but I remember seeing someone with the 4g lte thingy so I did the searching for you. You're welcome.

Okay its easy to modify files

Get root explorer

Navigate to system/app and look for systemUI.apk extract it go to rez drawable mdpi and change the mpcs 4g to the vz4g ita located in the bottom

1. On your phone. Go to system>app and rename SystemUI.apk to -> SystemUI.apk.bak
2.Go to sd and copy SystemUI.apk that you just downloaded and copy and paste it to system>app.
3.Restart.

I'm talking about a theme for the status bar and the status bar icons, Battery etc... I'd do a UOT theme but its still not working right..

I have a edited systemui.apk. that I can upload and share but I'm at school right now when I get home I will share it. All you do is copy over your existing systemui with the edited one

Decompile the apk. Swap out a png and recompile and push to your device

You can decompile a ROM that has it in it from a different phone. That's how I normally do it. I got this one from somewhere on the forum but with my esteem I got the 4g icon from a revolution system dump. If a ROM has a icon you want you can just pull it from the ROM and put it on your phone
