Root how do i change the carrier name ?

hi guys can anyone tell me how to change the carrier name from MetroPCS to something else ?
i tried many programs none of them worked ..

Isn't it possible to just edit all the entries of metro pcs in the data/data/ databases using sqlite editor? I've done it with an admire thats used on wifi only...also used it to change other settings in settings storage like which radios are available/toggleable in airplane mode...or possibly just delete the apn settings? Not that its hard to edit that XML file or anything
