How do I change the notification tones....

I dont want to use the pre-installed ones, I want to use one that I downloaded.

I use the app Tone Picker but I notice sms have a wierd tone, and I'm unable to change it. I guess its not covered in the default notification...

Try using Rings Extended it allows u to customize any tone on the Eris

There are many ways to do it, but you dont need any special apps to do it. Create 2 folders on your sd card; notifications & ringtones. I put .wav files into these folders and they show up as ringtones and notification sounds. Whats great ... they dont show up as song tracks.
