How do I check an esn?

I have a cspire phone a freind of a freind gave me and I would like to verify to see if the esn is good before I list it on ebay to sell.

So how do I check this?
Websight, phone number?
I am not around a cspire store, the nearest one is over 100 miles away so going there is not an option.
