How do i clear cache made by G+Photos/Picasa?

I don't want these photos on my device anymore, and i want to free up some space. I turned off the sync to 'Google+ Photos' and 'Picasa Web Gallery', but this does not remove them.

Are they pictures or thumbnails? Picasa will store thumbnails on the phone, but not the full picture.
Not sure about +, but can you clear the cache on Picasa?

If i had to guess it was at least thumbnails, not 100% sure about the pics themselves..

I actually found an answer over at Android Central. You've got to clear the cache and data of both the Gallery and Google+ apps, making sure the syncs are turned off on each beforehand. After opening the Gallery, it re-populated with local pics only, worked perfectly :)

Thanks for reporting back with the solution. :)
