Help how do i clear history?

I can't seem to erase a.part of my history. Even Id I buy an app for if. Wha I am trying to erase is an the websites that show up when I am in the beware and I hit the magnifying glass a list of websites show up.

How so I clear this list?
 
Alright -- I had done both of those things. I have figured out is skyfire that has the sites persisting. I have tried clearing skyfires history -- but it stillshows up in the android history.

Hmm.....

while you're in your browser - stock browser, that is...
menu > more > settings > scroll down to privacy configuration
