How do I create a new preset timer using 'clock'?

Galaxy A13. Using the clock's timer function seems so unintuitive, it's clunky to say the least. I've managed to add preset timers in the past, but I cannot for the life of me remember how! It can't be this complicated.

I press the + button, and it opens a screen called 'Add Timer' which features my current preset timers. Ok, what do I do now!? There are no options to add a timer.

Edit: Problem solved. I've been trying to add a new preset when I have a timer running for something else. Even though you can have as many timers running as you want, apparently you can't make new presets while any are running. Annoying.

Add a clock widget first, tap the clock and a timer should pop up instantly.

i just bought a s25 ultra and on the clock app, i do not see an "+" button. i do have the 3 dots on the top right corner where i can add or edit timers. do you have that on your screen, the 3 dots?

Yes, I have that and the timer does pop up - if it was the previous function I was using within the clock. however, my issue is with adding preset timers.

Yes. shoot, now I feel silly. I have been trying to add a preset timer when I have another timer already running. that's what's making it so hard (tho it shouldn't be)! Thanks.
