how do I customize the bottom dock?

Basically I want the messaging icon in the bottom dock and I don't know how to do it?

You need to install a custom launcher:

Try: Go launcher, ADW, Launcher Pro, or Zeam.

Certain ROMs also change them to be already there and not an app process. launchers take a considerable amount of processing, but if you don't like rooting, it'll get the job done.

It would also help to name the device your using. Maybe then you don't need a customer launcher .
