Help How do I delete music???

Hi Guys,

I feel really silly for having to ask this question, but I can't figure out how to delete music files from my Music application (the one that came with the phone). I see the following options but no "Delete" option:

"Now playing", "Shuffle all", "Play all", "Add to playlist", "Change order", "Set as ringtone", "Repeat", Properties", Shuffle On/Off"...

I know I'm missing something really obvious, I just need a little help. Thanks in advance!!

You can mount the phone and delete them or you can find the song in the media player and long press on it until a menu pops up with a delete option.

With the Eris (and I guess all Android phones), when in doubt, try "long pressing". It's equivalent to "right-clicking" on a mouse - it brings up a menu of commands that you might not find anywhere else.

Thanks, y'all! I completely forgot to try the long press. Still getting used to the touch screen.

OfTheDamned - glad you were one of the folks to answer because I've read a lot of your posts and think they're bad-ass! :)

Another way to delete music contents from file: Settings>manage applications>scroll down and find music>click on it>and then push on "clear data" or "clear cache". It works!!

OMGoodness I spent HOURS trying to figure out why I had ghost music on my phone and you made it possible to clear it in less than two minutes. THANK YOU!:D
