How do i disable 3g but keep 4g working?

So in my area 3g sucks, id rather just have no internet or 4g always. (depends on time of day). I know this is NOT possible via settings but i found a testing menu from a youtube video, it allows you to change these things, problem is i have no idea what one to pick as there are so many. Trying "LTE only" shuts off the functionality of making phone calls. Here is the video with the code, any help appreciated:

You want LTE (4G) and CDMA (voice and text), assuming that you're on Sprint, Verizon or one of their mvnos.

Awesome thats what i figured but i wasnt sure because there were so many option on that menu (like literally 12 lol). Im at home atm and i always have 4g here but ill be able to test fully tomorrow, i have a FEELING what was going on was in spots where my 4g was dropping was because my phone detected a stronger 3g signal and used that instead, but i bet you money tomorrow my 4g will work continulously. Edited my profile to show my device and carrier btw, good tip!

So i got antsy and decided to go test this before i went to bed and all i have to say is WOW. Not only did my 4g not drop the entire drive i took where usually it would be swapping between 4g and 3g but i started up my video (i watch a lot of twitchtv btw) and it didnt stop between wifi and mobile data, no buffering smooth transition......first time ive seen this happen since ive got this phone. I understand why they ship the phone in the mode it was in but holy cow am i glad i found that secret menu, considering how much streaming video i watch and i am in a 4g area this basically upped my enjoyment of this handset 10 fold if it keeps working like this. I guess the only downside is if i ever do travel to an area with no LTE service ill need to remember the secret code so i can enable 3g again lol.

Write all the service codes on a piece of paper and slip it under the battery, so it'll always be there if you need it.

And I'm glad your phone is working the way you like now.

Yep i wrote it down and threw it in my wallet last nite lol. I still dont understand why my phone had such troubles staying connected to 4g with the mode it shipped with, cause the 4g signal was obviously there the whole time but it continually kept swapping back and forth from 3g to 4g and when this happened the video stream would cut out, and sometimes not load cause the quality was too high for 3g to handle. I suppose i might be a different type of user than most people cause i watch twitch streams instead of radio in my car, but either way maybe this thread will be useful to someone who was having this same problem.
