Root how do I disable update check?

hey guys
haven't had time to play a around wit here and coulnd figure this out.

I'm on v10d on my lgms769
root and cwm recovery
BL still locked

phone keeps asking me if I want to update.
obviously can't do ota update.
can't find kdz for V10E
support tool freezes so I can't update there or update recovery to go stock.

I figure easiest option would be to not check for updates.
what do I need to freeze?

or if someone knows how I can update to E... that would be GR8

A simple search on the forums led to this:

Goto 4shared and select advanced and enter fota.apk in search. And enter android file in type. Download to your sd card. Copy from where downloaded and paste in system file then exit and restart. The goto check for update and it shouldn't find a new update. If it failed search this forum for fota.apk incase I forgot a step.

Update: Its fotakill.apk and goes in system/app file. Sorry

I am on B
I stopped the update notice.i did a few steps at the same time and not sure which worked .I uninstalled the ota app and changed the version letter in my build prop
Havent got an update notice since
