How Do I Enable Alarm Clock Sound?

Hi Folks:

I'm no longer able to set a sound for the alarm clock's notification. It vibrates.

Here are three screenshots of the phone's settings that describe the situation better than I can:

Clock version

You can see the button for the Alarm and timer alerts is grayed out

And here you can see a category has been deleted.

I never intentionally disabled my ability to hear the alarm.
How do I enable it?

Thanks
Larry

You might check your global notification sounds and volumes. Settings>Sounds and Vibrations>Volume>System. That's the path on my S21.. yours may vary.
Thanks olbriar:

Unfortunately, every bar on that screen is maxed out, I won't send a screenshot.

The snooze alarm is audible.

I appreciate your suggestion.

what phone do you have? when did this start recently? did you install an app recently? an update? have you tried rebooting the phone?
The phone is a Samsung SM J260A. It's probably the cheapest Android phone Samsung sells in America, $62 USD. It's about three years old.

I've successfully used the alarm function within the last several months.

I can't think of any recent app installs.

I've done the power off and battery out to restart. Is there a more thorough reboot?
