How do I find my older material?

I got (stuck with) a chromebook sone time ago and now I can't find my posts about it. Where did they go? I don't want to have to go through that again.
 
I did a search for chromebook left by Rgarner and only found your recent posts containing chromebook. Searching for cromebook without searching a specific member brought two pages of results dating back over a decade that might be of interest to you but were not your content. You can do the search yourself by clicking on the magnifying icon top right of the forum page. Perhaps you called your chromebook something else...
 
Yes, I have referred to it as a crimebook. I had been unable to put it in the developer mode trance and thus let it be for quite a while. I usually have enough tech battles to fight as it is...

Thread 'Cheap computer'

One of my friends has apparently qualified for cheap internet from Comcast. It"s about $10 a month. They also offer a Dell computer for about $150. It's got 4 gb of memory and 64 gb hard drive. Should he get it? Would it be possible to modify it, for instance by upgrading the hard drive? He wants at least 1 - 2 terabytes. Also, how bad is it to have chrome as an operating system? Can it be swapped out for something better, such as Linux? I guess if nothing else I might be able to borrow it and try to repair my Moto G Stylus.
 
Thanks, that's a big help. I remember posting (some of) that material. Could you please also find the chromebook/crimebook stuff?

I guess that's the right spelling. Anyway, I at long last am the proud possessor of a brand spankin' new (I hope) computer, a Lenovo from Walmart. Compared to the crimebook, I guess it's pretty tricked out, specs and all. I have fortunately been able to connect the cheapish plastic wireless mouse (also walmart) and get it to work. All it needed was a new AAA, the other being ok. It's still not that great but better than trying to deal with that sucky trackpad. Now I have it on wifi but there is a little problem. Thread 'Drive(n)'

At least some people on here ought to know what I think of googoo. However, there's a pretty big file that I probably won't be able to get without using their drive. Well, I checked to see how it works and I got a message in some language I don't know, Dutch maybe. I'm pretty sure it's asking for email address, and that rectangle at the end most likely leads to the next page. What gives? Why is it not in English, or am I just being a jerk? Is this trustworthy?

These are the only other threads I could find with mentions of crimebook
 
Thanks much, but how do you do that? I'd like to be able to find these things myself. At least it shows they are neither gone nor forgotten...
