Help how do i flash roms in .Rar format?

hey guys this I am new to the forum. I'm looking for more info to continue learning about flashing roms on my X10a. I am also on XDA. I'll give a little background of my situation. I am in the USA with a X10a on At&t network. I have flashed the latest 2.1.1.A.0.435 firmware. I used Bin4ry's latest 2.9.1 flash to root, Optimized(enabled JIT v2) and added Xrecovery. So now I wanted to try some 2.2 froyo custom roms but all the roms i find are in .rar format. I have read as much as i can find but no one explains the steps more than saying copy the file to sd card and flash in Xrecovery. i got that, but it isn't that simple. Can someone either tell me where to find detailed instructions or write them out in a reply for me. I would really appreciate it. thanks guys

Alright guys nevermind about this post. I figured out what i was not doing and now have Wolfbreaks CM 6.1.3 [V05] 2.2 custom rom on my X10a. So far i really like this rom, it's fast, smooth, stable and responsive. I recommend it!!!
