Help how do i get 3g working with a metro prl?

the metro prl gives me full reception compared to zero reception with sprint and boost prls. the problem is when i flash the prl i dont hae 3g. any one know how to have 3g with the metro prl?

Well if flashing to a Metro PRL puts you on the Metro towers then you would not be able to get 3g. Metro PCS doesn't have 3g, it's either the 1x or 4g if it's actually available in your area.

so can i activate 4g on my phone? maybe if i change something on the data menu? cuz i tries to open the internet browser and it didnt work.

As far as I know, the Prevail does not have 4g capability.

it wont even let me make calls. it says something about if i want to make a collect call. atleast i know its not my phone giving me cheap reception.

Try flashing the Sprint 01120, or the 01115 and see if that helps any.

No. CDMA Workshop is a program for your pc you can download from cdma-ware dot com that will allow you to flash a CDMA phone over to a new company (if you pay for the registered version). It'll also allow you to flash over new PRLs to the phone. One thing though: the demo has a limited number of uses. So, make sure you're satisified with the changes you want to make to the PRL because once you've used up the demo, there is no way to redownload it and run it.

I would recommend finding out what the latest Sprint postpaid prl that is currently available in your area, and then attempt to find the zip file online.
