Help How do I get flash on my phone?

I saw a review of the Galaxy II that showed video within a CNN page. The reviewer says Flash works well on the phone. My phone does not seem to have Flash. Is it Adobe flash and is it worth putting it on the phone?
Thanks
Matt

Flash Player 4.x and it works if you use a browser that handles Flash, like Dolphin or Next and run them in Desktop mode. (In phone mode you get the mobile version of the site, like m.cnn.com, which doesn't use Flash.)

Thanks Rukbat,
Is it advisable to change browsers? I'm not very experienced in this stuff, please forgive all my questions. The stock browser is running really well. I'd hate to screw up the phone. If I tried Dolphin and it bogs down the phone can I easily return to the stock browser if I don't like Dolphin?
Thanks,
Matt

I use the stock browser on my Note II and it plays Flash fine (once you've downloaded Flash, obviously). I don't get why everyone always suggests using Dolphin or any other browsers any time Flash is discussed.

To answer your question tho, changing browsers is fine. You may even find one you prefer to the stock browser.

Hi

If you upgrade to android more recent than 4.1 then I believe the stock browser will no longer support flash even if installed so you then need Dolphin which provides the necessary software support. I've had no issues with downloaded Flash player working using 4.1.2

I have the latest, wat is it, 4.5 I think. Perhaps it will work with Kit Kat... It's not gonna kill me not to have it...

I have 4.3/JellyBean and it does not work on the stock browser. I think 4.1.2 is the last one that works on the stock browser. Boat and dolphin work on 4.3.

4.4 none of them work. The hacked version of flash works with dolphin on 4.4

EDIT: 4.3/Stock browser still works. But 4.4 does not.

I'm running 4.3......stock browser plays Flash fine :)

To get back to the OP's question, you can install flash and you will have to have a browser that supports flash. As for the Browser, which ever one you choose is fine because you will still have access to the stock browser if you want, it won't go anywhere. I have had about four browsers installed on my device at one time when I was trying to determine which one worked best for me. You cannot uninstall the stock browser, but if you try a different one and don't care for it, uninstall it and try another. The fabulous world of Android!!

OK, I downloaded "flash player "ics.apk". When I try to install it, I get a message that says ""Install BLocked, For Security, your device is set to block installation of applications not from Google Play" I unchecked "Unknown Sources" and I got a message that says "application installed". How do I know if it's working? What website can i go to to see if it is?
Thanks,
Matt

CNN maybe?

If you see an arrow pointing down in the video box where the video is supposed to play, press that.

Hey! I think it's working! On Flip Box, there is an advert for "Zuck" with a looped picture. So I guess flash is now working on my phone. I haven't seen anything on the CNN app but I'm going to go to their page and see what happens.

All you need to do is click on the flash player app. Your browser should open and should show you the settings for flash player. If it does not show the settings when browser opens. Then its not working. Pretty simple.

It's set for "Multi Storage", is that the best choice?
