How do I get it to prefer WiFi when available?

When I am in wifi range, I would think that would be the faster connection rather than 3G (besides making sure I don't bump up against any caps). But when I get on the browser, I still see the 3G arrows working away, even though wifi is connected. How do I set it to use only wifi when it is available?
 
I read in another forum where someone said that a Verizon rep said it will use WiFi over 3G when both are available.

Take that FWIW, as it's coming third party.
