How do I get labels on Fav Icons at bottom of screen?

New S21 phone here. I have Googled and poked around in phone, but no answer to a seemingly basic question. How do I get labels on Fav Icons at bottom of screen? When I put a shortcut icon on the Home Screen, it is automatically labeled, as shown in pic. This is great.

But the 'Favorite' Icons at bottom have no labels.

This is not great. How can I get the labels to appear?

Your launcher app takes care of those things.
If yours can't do it, there are many in the play store to choose from.
I use Nova launcher prime since day 1....
And BTW, those icons you speak of are part of the Home screen "dock"

Ahh, thank you very much. I had zero idea about 'launcher apps', I just assumed that part was built into the system. But you know the old saying about 'assume', LOL.

Oh good grief, Nova can put labels on dock icons! I never knew that...

I mean, I don't want them, but I now know it's possible .

I'm "enlightened" every day on these forums, finding things out that I never knew....

Nova prime has many awesome features....
