Help How do I get rid of the OTA update for VM Supreme?

I'm getting the OTA notification constantly, and I'm tired of it. Is there a way to get rid of it? (I unchecked the show notification for google services framework, but it only got rid of the thing at the top of the screen--the popups persist.) My phone is rooted with Kingo root, but I'm running whatever version of Android came with the phone.

By the way, out of curiosity, what is this OTA update exactly?

Edit: Has anybody tried FOTAKill for this? If so, what exactly did you do? (I like this phone--I just wish there were more users/more of a community for it.)

Look for an FOTA or Update app. If you find one, install Link2SD and freeze that app. That should stop the update requests. (Even if you told it to go ahead with the update, most updates will fail on a rooted phone.)

Thanks!

Yeah, when I factory reset the phone a few weeks ago, I unrooted (temporarily) and tried going ahead with the update and that failed. Anyway, I dropped the FOTAKill app in system/app last night and haven't had any update notifications since. If I get more, I'll try your method above. Below is the link to it if anybody needs it.

48 hours, no notification pop-ups. Seems like this works.
