How do I increase capacity to update apps?

Hi, Im a newbie here and I'm sure this has happened before but when I try to update my apps on my galaxy s2 it pops up a window saying "insufficient capacity"!

can anyone tell me how do I change this so there is or how I find out what is causing it?

How much internal storage do you have left? You could possibly be running out. And, depending on what version of Android you're running, it's possible to move apps to SD card to help alleviate the storage issue.

umm I have 273MB on the device and 4.36GB on the SD card, surely that is enough?

i'm on 4.1.2 if that is what you're after?

In the S2, device memory has 2 partitions. Internal SD card and Device memory. How much for each?
