How do i increase the internal phone memory by partitioning

Hi (broke my screen on Moto G) stil under contract so went for a cheap chinese phone (maybe the first mistake) - have got a Doogee DG750 (most reviews were good) but the 8gb internal disk is partition to create an internal SD leaving a very small 1GB drive so i cannot download apps as cant move them to SD.

Have looked on various forums and tried to root (no luck with at least 10 options) so need to repartition but cannot either understand how to do it or the software i "need" has virus's so cant download.

All help greatly appreciated. I am not a total newby - my Moto G was rooted, but cant understand the EBR stuff on some instructions i have looked at.

cheers

I'm not sure I'm of any help as I've never heard of your phone and we don't have a forum for it. I did move this thread to the Other Phones section where others may have an idea.

Hi
* For other readers: The following is related to MTK phones.
I just posted such information at http://androidforums.com/threads/thl-4000-gc5004-review-and-stuff.913260/#post-6943914
* The above linked post and the following contain specific thl 4000 phone files, such as the recovery.img linked. Please take time to review as to prevent a possible brick.
Don't rely on the Partition files I've linked there. You may need to research how to make those yourself. Start by getting your firmware for SP Flashtool ready and go from there. You will lose everything on your phone. So don't forget to backup before trying anything.
BTW, the thl 4000 is also a 8GB MTK device.
Maybe try making your own files (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53120385)
If it does your head in, just try something else... your call :)... Actually, I wouldn't use thl 4000 files on any other phone. See next post.

BTW, from what I've read, changing the partition sizes (reducing internal 'SD card' partition and increasing Data) may remove the possibility to upgrade stock using FOTA update.

Hi 16fairfield,

I've decided to take time to help you out with this.
I downloaded stock firmware from http://www.needrom.com/download/doogee-dg750/ *You need to register with needrom.com to download to check compatibility. They DON'T MATCH! Do not use the thl 4000 "EBR1", "EBR2", "MBR" and "MT6582_Android_scatter.txt" files on any other phone but the thl 4000.

Need to consider that there isn't any custom ROM's or Recovery on needrom.com . Is there a custom recovery? You betcha! You can make one with MTK Droid Root Tools. You'll need root. Kingo Root http://www.kingoapp.com/ it's easy! Once rooted make sure SuperSU is installed. And then follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2379412 to create your very own Custom recovery.zip . Don't forget to click that ROOT button at the bottom right of MTK Droid Root Tools and watch your phone for the SU request. Backup your IMEI and NVRAM while there.
Note: MTK Droid Root Tools was detected by AVG as a threat on my PC. I detected AVG as a threat and disabled it until next reboot!
