How do I keep Apps from being deleted?

TallJohn

Lurker
I have 2 kids, they play with the tablet all the time. HOW or IS there an way to keep an app from being deleted? is there a way to keep an app usable without allowing it to be deleted?

I've read about programs that allow you to make apps inaccessible by only a password - and that is NOT what I'm interested in. I want all the apps to be used but NOT delete-able! (if that makes any sense)

Thanks for any answers!

You can check out APP Lock. I believe it lets you choose a password, then decide which apps are protected by that app. If you need to go really hardcore, you can always root your phone (please read up on that before proceeding as there is risk involved), and then move the apps from the /date folder (which is where apps you install and delete reside in), to the /system folder (where they can't be removed; it's where the crapware is installed). This would enable them to function without a password, but require some heavy-lifting on your part.

If you use Go Launcher, you can use the "screen lock" function. This will make apps undeletable from the app drawer and your widgets locked as well.
