Root How do I make a copy for recovering?

I would appreciate some instruction on apps to download to create a recovery file.

I would like to start playing with Custom Roms, but I need a recovery file and a step-by-step plan on how to unbrick or fix my phone if anything happens.


I have zero experience with this stuff, just a very organized, careful person, and I have internet, a laptop, & a cell phone.

as of now there is no custom recovery for this phone due to it being locked down hard. we wont be able to update nor do much of anything with the kyocera devices. kyocera are the ones who put a hard lock on it and wont comply to the consumers due to them being scared of the carrier. they wont help us nor do anything due to them under contractr with the carrier. so far as ik there may never be a custom recovery for this device.
