Help How do I manually reset the time?

I was in a black spot for VM during last week-end (northern NH) so the daylight savings time did not update automatically.
I wanted to use the phone as an alarm clock, but I could not find a way to manually reset the time.
I can only set the time and date FORMATS but not the time itself.
Am I missing something?
Thank you.

Have you rebooted (shut down & restarted) the phone?

I was NOT in an area with VM coverage so rebooting would not help.
I need to know a way to reset the time manually and not automatically via-the-network.
Of course as soon as I got to the VM network the time updated to the correct one, but this is not the point of the question :)

The time automatically updates via the network. There is no way to manually update the time. If you find yourself off-network you will have to wait until you are back on-network for the time to correctly update.

This is crazy! So VM has deliberately taken out the option of updating date and time manually? (which is available in other Optimus phones).
What happens if I want to bring my phone to a different country (i.e. different time zone) and just use it to listen to music, us the alarm clock etc..
It will constantly have the wrong time?
There is got to be a way to fix this! Any external apps?

VM cripples all of their models which are versions of post-paid model phones.
If you want full functionality, then you'll have to buy a full-priced phone and use it on a full-priced carrier. You just aren't going to get everything you would on a contract phone with a Virgin Mobile phone.
