Help How do I move stuff onto my 64GB SD card

I have the 16GB SGN2 and have a 64GB SD card.
At present I have on internal memory - applications 628 mb, pictures, videos 30mb audio 20mb downloads 80mb misc 5mb therefore available 4.4 GB.
There is nothing on the SD card yet.
How do I ensure new things go to the card and how can I transfer some to the SD card.
Thanks

Connect to USB on your computer and drag and drop. Some apps must be installed on the phone itself and will not run from the SD card.

You cant move any apps to the sd card unless you Root it, otherwise like the previous user said, just drag & drop, and dont forget to go into the camera settings and tell it use the the sd card to store photos not the internal memory ;-)

Some apps and games can be installed on the SD card without rooting. It's not really a good idea to install apps or games onto the SD card because they'd run a little bit slower even on a fast class 10+ card.

Please can you tell me an app that can be moved?

I know there are quite a few games. I've pretty much uninstalled everything on my ATRIX and haven't played anything lately so I can't remember. I think some Gameloft games give you the option IIRC.

So you haven't tried to move any on your galaxy note 2 then? Every forum I read says that apps can't be moved on jellybean, even on the market the apps2sd apps say they don't work with jellybean. I suggest you try and let us know what you manage to move on the note.

Oh sorry, I haven't gotten my Note II yet - it should be shipping out today. I just assumed it was the same as my ATRIX.

I know you are trying to help but please don't post unless you are sure about what you are telling someone, you will only end up confusing the original poster, I thought you had the phone as it's listed in your profile?

Pete.

Ok thanks everyone. I will connect to my PC and have a go.
However I am not sure about where on the Camera app I can change the settings. Can you tell me step by step where and how I ensure video and photos go straight to the SD card

Hello everybody,

Here are two answers I received from Samsung support regarding the use of the external memory card:

1. We understand you would like to know the information on installing the applications to the SD card, If possible.

According to our information, there is no option to install the application directly to SD card; However, If the application size is more than 1 GB it will be automatically installed on the SD card. The default memory for the applications which are less than 1 GB is Internal phone memory.

2. We understand you would like to know, If the Internal memory to the device(SGH-I747) is full, and you are attempting to install the application. You need to know if the installed application will be directed to the SD card memory.

According to our information, Yes the installed application will be directed to the SD card memory, If the phone memory is full. Thank you for the idea, we appreciate your thinking. You may continue the above process in order to install the applications on SD card (OR) you can move the applications from phone memory to SD card manually if it meets the size limitation.

Hope this helps and maybe some of you can confirm this behaviour.

Daniel
