Help How do I open a contact from Messaging?

I have disabled Facebook home and am using the stock Android home screen. From a conversation in the Messaging app, how do I open the contact that I've been texting? I want to be able to edit a contact that I've been talking to without having to go into the contacts app and type his/her name into the search bar.
