Help How do I remove preinstalled crap?

How do I remove preinstalled stuff on the Droid 2? Specifically things like Skype and Blockbuster and stuff like that. Is there a list of what's safe to remove and initial customizations?

Go into the main menu and then into "Settings".

Choose "Applications" from the settings menu and then "Manage applications".

In the list of apps, select the app you do not want.

You will see an option to uninstall the app. It might be greyed out.

If there is a button that says "Force stop" then press it.

If it is still greyed out it has been written into the ROM of your device and unfortunately cannot be removed.

Otherwise uninstall the app and no more crud on your phone!

The only way to properly remove them is to root the phone. Then simply move them to the SD Card to back-up; you don't want to delete them for the reason below.

If and when the phone is rooted, keep in mind that just like the Droid X when updating the phone it will require one or more of the apps to be installed or it will fail.
