How do I remove the sticky stuff off the pane?

I did not realize I have a clear cover when I put a second one over it - do this ONLY if you enjoy seeing bubbles. :o

When I removed it, the surface is sticky.

What is a safe way to remove the sticky stuff?

A dry finger and time. Rub lightly and some of that stuff will ball up and come off. Eventually the rest of it will wear off.

The correct fix is to remove the original film and apply a new one. It'll cost a few bucks, but it'll look andd work better. (BTW, most bubbles that you can't rub out are microscropic particles of dust, so use transparent tape to pick all the dust (even where you can't see any) off the screen before putting a screen protector on it.)

Here's another tip. Use a wet wipe or a damp cloth to clean the screen. Then let air dry. Apply the screen protector with a squeegee. If you don't have one use an old gift card or credit card. As for micro bubbles just wait a day or two and they will disappear.

One of the things I learnt about when becoming a parent is the awesome power of baby wipes. So now the default answer to 'how do i clean' where there is a wipe clean surface is one of these, also works great for removing fingerprints, chocolate, sticky bits and anything else off most surfaces
