I have this annoying ad on my phone. No idea what I did to get it.

If I click to ad it first goes to ad.doubleclick.net then directs to the ad

I downloaded an app called appbrain ad detector, but it failed to detect anything

Have a look at our forum sticky about things like this....

The Alibaba icon? Chinese on-line retailer. Is Alibaba an installed app, if so can you uninstall it?

Where have you been downloading apps from, Google or Amazon, or something else, like Mobo***** or 1******? What phone have you got, make, model, Android version, and is it Chinese?

When I run Alibaba I get this, and not any Doubleclick redirects or other nonsense.

EDIT:

I just noticed the other thing at the bottom, "Friendly Shandong, China" :thumbsupdroid: , as the image didn't completely load the first time. That sounds like it might be connected with Alibaba, although I never get pushed ads like that from them, it's just their on-line shopping site I see and use sometimes. BTW I've heard that Shandong is a friendly place, I'm going to be moving there in a few weeks time, starting a new job. :)

Did you install Alibaba, or how did it get there? Because that's something that's mainly of use if you're in China or are interested in Chinese things.

yes i instlled it. There are no apps on my phone that i did not put there from appstore. The problem is the big banner at the bottom covering my shortcut buttons.
