How Do I Select Music Albums By Folder?

Son of Spam

Newbie
I have a bunch of individual folders that I'd like to select, so I can add them to a playlist. Problem is, a lot of these folders contain Various Artist compilations, so I don't want to have to select each artist to program into a playlist.

If I could add the folders in question, that would be so much simpler.

How can I do that?

i thought it was pretty self-explanatory
you can't do what you're asking with the stock music app, you're gonna have to use another one - search the market for an alternate music app that has this feature

i wouldn't know which is best, i use the stock music app (don't care for this particular feature myself)

lol, anyway try mixzing lite, it allows you to select music folders.

First of all, I should apologize to mrqs for my snarky response. I was just having a bad day. :o

Yeah, I'm using MixZing myself. But it only allows you to choose the top-level folders (which, in my case is "Music"). Within that Music folder, I have subsequent sub-folders: "Classic Rock", "Blues" and "Garage Rock".

Then even under those folders I have subsequent sub-folders of Various Artist Albums and Artist folders (yeah, pretty anal, I know).

So, ultimately what I'd like to do is, let's say I just want to play my "Garage Rock" folder, I just want to select it and hit play.

Whoever can help me with that gets a big wet kiss. ;):D:cool:

ah i see, then check out either (or both to see which you prefer) music folder player and mortplayer. From memory i think they both let u select sub folders.
