How do I sell these Uncarrier plans?

This. I'm not sure I follow what people are saying about taxes being included in the prepaid price. The day I set up my prepaid service I bought $50 directly from T-Mobile online and they charged a little over $8 in taxes, so it came to $58.something.
The taxes being talked about are the extra taxes charged by the FCC and your State, such as Federal Excise Tax, Universal Service Charges, etc. Prepaid doesn't have any of those extra taxes or fees, you simply pay your state and/or cities sales taxes. For those who live in areas that don't have sales tax, they don't have any tax on prepaid. The one exception I've see, is some have said they are required to pay an e911 fee on Prepaid, though that appears to be the exception and will be based on the law in your area.
Also, you may be able to buy refill cards online and not pay sales tax. Typically it requires the merchant you are buying from not having any offices/stores/warehouses in the state you live in.

Your local tax rate must be really high. My Solavei bill comes out to just under $55 in Colorado. Are they still really stingy with the data on that $50 T-Mobile plan? I never really understood its pricing - seems like the 4GB unthrottled from Solavei for $49 or even the mystery throttle from Straight Talk for $45 are better deals.
Yeah, I live in Chicago and taxes here are some of the highest in the country.
I'm on the $30 plan, but bought $50 of airtime to be sure I had a cushion for extra minutes. I should have thought ahead and bought a refill card from a reseller to avoid the tax - I will do that going forward.
So if I want an S4 as soon as it comes out I'll need $300 and I get to keep the S2?
If you got a subsidy on the S2 in January then $300($350 ish likely after taxes) is correct, assuming your credit is good enough for them to give you the $99 down payment.
S2 should cover your migration fee and maybe even the down payment if you want to sell it.
I've been seeing them on CL around here for $300. Idk whether or not they sell for that much since they are new for that much, but you never know. If people don't educate themselves on prices of phones they will pay more.
But at the very least, it'll cover the migration fee to the new plans.
Thanks Woosh. It looks like t-mobile has upped the subsidized down payment to $150 for the S4. I'm just happy they finally released Jellybean for the S2 so now I can wait until the next, next big thing from Samsung comes to t-mobile before I get an S4. I still want the S4 but the jellybean release has taken the edge off my "need the next big thing" urges. Looks like I'll be on contract for awhile longer sales associates. No Uncarrier plan for me yet.
