how do i stop automatic updates on my lg motion?

[Android Question]

My LG Motion keeps downloading the "piece of shit" updates for Google maps and then messes up my settings. How can i prevent this from happening? My other phpne had a box to check to turn OFF automatic updates, but I can't find it on my LG MOTION.

It's a function of the Play Store app, not your phone.
Google Play: Settings > Auto-update apps, select the radio button for "Do not auto-update apps"
